Course Format & Duration

Entry Requirements
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
• Must hold a valid Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate:
– Level 3 RQF/QCF or Level 6 SCQF
– Must be valid for at least 12 months from the course start date
• If you do not have a valid First Aid certificate, you must choose the First Aid included package
• ACT (Action Counter Terrorism) eLearning must be completed; guidelines are provided by the centre

Unit: Principles of Working as a Security Officer in the Private Security Industry (Refresher)
• Conduct effective search procedures
• Understand how to safeguard vulnerable individuals
• Learn how to respond to terror threats as a frontline security professional

Self-Study Materials

• Learners are required to review the content and complete the workbook before attending class

Assessment and Exam
• Assessed via externally marked multiple-choice exams
