Introduction – Private Security Industry

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) provides several courses for different kinds of security officers. If you’re willing to obtain a Door Supervisor Licence or CCTV Operation Licence, this is the ideal course! Being an SIA-approved door supervisor will open up job opportunities and allow you to work in a range of SIA door supervisor roles.

By undergoing training that will make you eligible for one of these licenses, which are legally required in the UK for anyone who wants to work as a Door Supervisor, you not only receive the best training from an approved training provider, but you also learn safe working practices that go with being a Door Supervisor or Security Guard.

To obtain an SIA Door Supervisor Licence or Security Guarding Licence, you must go through a series of modules, such as working in the private security industry, as door supervision, conflict management in a respectful manner, emergency first aid training at work (EFAW), physical intervention and countering terrorism awareness.

What Is The SIA Door Supervisor Course About?

This SIA Door Supervisor training course allows interested people to get a license for door supervision under the Security Industry Authority. Whether or not you have prior knowledge of the Security Industry Authority’s importance in the industry, further information is provided during the training process.

You need an emergency first-aid certificate to participate in one of these courses. We do offer emergency first aid course options as an add-on to all of our services. You can understand venue capacity responsibilities relevant to your role as a door supervisor, as well as learn how to understand physical interventions.

The vast domain of SIA not only covers the features mentioned above in the course but also deals in excellent customer services, the procedure of searching, practical measures to deal with conflict situations, prevention of drugs under the UK drug misuse legislation, and escorting customers from the premises where danger is observed to reduce risk. This course teaches you how to understand CCTV training, fire procedures, and much more, followed by a door supervisor chapter.

The qualification aims to provide those who want to be Security Guards or Door Supervisors with proper guidance from committed training providers and eligibility for a licence. Purpose Of Door Supervisor & Licence:

Door Supervisors are tasked with undertaking several security measures for licensed premises or venues. Depending on the job description, Door Supervisors could be expected to search every person entering a venue, especially those who appear to be underage. Door Supervisors are responsible for searching for drugs, weapons, and even alcohol if it is not permitted on the premises.

To work as a Door Supervisor, being prepared to search suspects on-premises and inform your local authority of any laws broken is an essential part of the job. Additionally, if an unfortunate incident occurs, Door Supervisors are the first port of call for delivering first aid.

For this reason, only a licensed Door Supervisor is allowed to work in a private security industry after completing their qualifications under the rules and laws of the Security Industry Act. Our SIA Door Supervisor Training course will enable successful candidates to qualify and gain an SIA badge or SIA license to work as a Security Guard or Officer.
